Manchester United battling Juventus for the signature of Barcelona star, Andre Gomes, according to reports.
The Red Devils have entered a hot race for the Portuguese midfielder who arrived at the Camp Nou just last summer from Valencia, with reports that super agent, Jorge Mendes has held a crunch meeting with Barca to inform the Catalan giants of interest on the midfielder.
Mendes was spotted boarding a taxi at the airport, before heading to the Camp Nou for the meeting with Barcelona.
Reports in Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo claim that the agent was at the Camp Nou for several reasons, with suggestions that he was also there to discuss Arda Turan’s transfer situation.
The report also claims that Mendes revealed that several clubs in Europe are interested in Gomes but it is understood that Barcelona are not ready to allow the 23-year-old leave this summer.
There are suggestions that new boss Erneste Valverde wants the Portuguese to play a role in his team next season despite his slow start to life at the Camp Nou.
Amidst keen interest from top clubs in Europe, it is believed that Barcelona will not sell until they find an ideal replacement for Andre Gomes, with reports that the Catalan giants want to sign Marco Verratti this summer.
