“Chelsea Made A Big Mistake Selling These Players” – Martin Keown

Former Arsenal player Martin Keown believes Chelsea made a big mistake allowing the trio of Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Mohamed Salah leave Stamford Bridge.

The three stars played for Chelsea at different points but were allowed to leave the club.

However, all three have evolved into superb stars and are now in the category of the best players in the premier league.

When De Bruyne was at Chelsea, he could only make nine appearances before being sold to the Bundesliga to play at Wolfsburg. however, he has been fantastic at Manchester City, and even Chelsea’s Eden Hazard believes he is now the best player in the premier league.

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah was only able to play 13 premier league games during his 18-month stay at Chelsea before he was sent to the Serie A to play for Roma.

The African star was signed by Liverpool during the past summer transfer window and he has quickly settled to life at Anfield.

He has been on fire for Liverpool since the start of this season and even helped his country with the two goals that gave them the World Cup ticket last month.

Romelu Lukaku, who was also sold to Everton after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, signed Manchester United last summer after evolving into one of the best strikers in the country.

And Keown, speaking recently to the Daily Mail, said the three star are all ‘clearly talented’, and that the Stamford Bridge club made a ‘wrong decision’ selling them.
