Chelsea have confirmed the loan transfer of Fikayo Tomori to Brighton & Hove Albion till the end of the season.
The youngster has been tipped for great things at the Stamford Bridge due to his brilliant signs for the Chelsea academy.
He was brought on for Chelsea’s final game of last season against Leicester City and proved to be a promising talent but has now been shipped out on loan to gain more experience.
Brighton also confirmed the arrival of the 19-year-old on loan with suggestions he will be deployed as a right-back.
Speaking about the transfer, Brighton boss Chris Hughton said: ‘We have brought in Fikayo on loan from Chelsea to provide us with some additional cover in the full-back positions, and we are delighted to welcome him to the club.
“He is a highly-rated young full-back, by both Chelsea and England; he is predominantly a right-back, but he can play in any position across the back four, and will give us good defensive cover for the first-team for the second half of the season’
Tomori will hope to impress with the Championship side to gain recognition just like the case of Nathan Ake who has returned to the Stamford Bridge in between a successful loan spell with Bournemouth.
