Club legend Frank Lampard and German Michael Ballack have been confirmed by the West London club as the guests of honour at their Annual Lunch in the month of December.
The midfield maestro duo both contributed immensely to the team’s success in the ten years, and will have a number of stories to tell as they delight the guests at the Annual lunch, where they are expected to be interviewed by Chelsea TV host Jason Cundy.
Both players have now retired, and that’s the main reason they have been strongly linked with the vacant role of technical director, which has been made vacant since Nigerian Michael Emenalo left on Monday morning. Undoubtedly, they are in the frame to occupy the role immediately, but it should be noted that neither of them has stated his intention of taking up a coaching role or the position left vacant by the former Super Eagles star, it’s certainly what might be seen in the nearest future.
While former England international midfielder Frank Lampard is the side’s all time top goalscorer and won the UEFA Champions League back in 2012, former Germany international midfielder Michael Ballack was a prominent member of the team that won the side’s first double back in 2010.
