It has been revealed that former Arsenal star; Santi Cazorla made a ‘secret’ summer phone call with Unai Emery.
The Villarreal player who is believed to still be connected to his former side had given the new manager a hint of how the club runs and what needed to be worked upon.
He hailed the ability of Emery as a great coach but noted that the former PSG needed time to deliver at the club.
Cazorla, who left the Emirates unceremoniously due to the injury that took him out of action for two years revealed that from his call with the new manager, there are many positives that should be expected.
The Villarreal player, however, refused to reveal of more of his chat with the manager, stating that it is a secret between them.
Emery took over at Arsenal in the summer after the exit of the club’s former manager, Arsene Wenger
It is now left to the Spaniard to either accept or not, the advice he has been given but Cazorla’s words might be of great use to the manager.
So far, Emery is yet to hit the ground running as he has only had two wins in four games.
