Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has ruled out the possibility of leaving the club in this January transfer window.
Doucoure made this known in an interview with Canal Football Club amidst reported interests from major European clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The 26-year-old revealed that he would like to see out the season at Watford before making a decision on his future.
The French midfielder has been a mainstay of the Watford team since he joined the club at the start of last season.
His Watford form has led to the interests of the aforementioned clubs.
On a possible return to France with PSG, Abdoulaye Doucoure said that he’s flattered by the transfer rumors linking him with the French capital club and that they have not contacted Watford about any possible transfer.
He also talked about his desire to play for a Champions League club.
The Liverpool midfield has come under severe scrutiny in recent times and Doucoure has been touted as a possible addition to the team under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds midfielders have been strongly criticized this season despite the fact that Liverpool are the pacesetters in the Premier League with the Merseysiders seven points clear at the top of the league table.
