Besiktas star player Domagoj Vida has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for premier league heavyweights Liverpool.

The Croatian international has been in the news consistently due to his links with the Anfield club, and we won’t be too surprised when we see him move to Merseyside before the closure of the ongoing summer transfer window.

Milliyet have reported that Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to up their game and get the player’s signature ahead of the upcoming premier league campaign.

Vida was impressive for his national side at the just-concluded World Cup in Russia. He helped Croatia reached their first final in the tournament and was able to get the attention of the likes of West Ham and Everton.

It was made known that different clubs have submitted bids for Vida, but his side are not going to sell him until they get close to €30m for his signature.

Officials from Anfield are planning to travel to Turkey to complete a deal for the talented defender, but Bekitas Chief Fikret Orman recently said he won’t sell Vida unless the player wants to leave.

At 29, Vida is expected to embrace a move to England, where he will get the chance to play in one of the best leagues in the world and earn more money before deteriorating.
