According to latest reports, Arsenal and England international midfielder Jack Wilshere could join Premier League West Ham United this summer transfer window.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could yet get his boyhood wish to play for West Ham. As per the Telegraph, West Ham United may make a transfer move for him should they lose FC Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes to Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite reports earlier this summer that they weren’t seeking midfielders, West Ham’s pursuit of William Carvalho and Andre Gomes says otherwise. Should they be unable to sign Gomes, they could try to lure 25-year-old Wilshere permanently or on a season long loan.
Rumours about the Arsenal man’s future seemed to reduce as the season started, as no club showed interest. However, it does look like Arsenal are still ready to let him go.
Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg and La Liga side Real Betis have both asked about his availability, but the Arsenal star is said to favour a transfer to West Ham. Wilshere went on loan to AFC Bournemouth last summer, but with only a season remaining on his current deal, Arsenal will be willing to cash in on the player if they can.
