Brazilian midfielder Fred has been in the news recently after finalising a deal with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United earlier this week.
However, the talented player recently picked an unfortunate injury during a training session with the rest of his countrymen in preparation for their trip to Russia for the World Cup a few days from now.
He limped off the pitch in agony and was forced to watch the rest of the activities from the sidelines.
The South American star has agreed to join Manchester United and will be playing at Old Trafford next season.
The 25-year-old has proved himself adequately when he was still at Shakhtar Donetsk and was able to catch the attention of United boss Jose Mourinho. Fred has evolved into one of the best midfielders in the continent and is expected to flourish at the Theater of Dreams.
While Manchester United fans have been hoping to watch their new boy in the World Cup, it appears he won’t be able to participate in some of Brazil’s games after he picked an unpleasant knock a few hours ago.
The Brazilian fell to a tackle from countryman Casemiro and he couldn’t continue with the training session but was forced to sit out.
