Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has delivered a bad news which many fans won’t like, after revealing that one of his vital stars is out for the rest of the season
The Portuguese manager, giving injury updates about his side, revealed that Spanish Star player Juan Mata will miss the rest of the season.
Mata has not featured yet for his side since mid-March, and it appears he won’t return to action this season.
The former Chelsea coach stated he doesn’t expect the midfielder to recover from that groin surgery until ‘late May’.
This of course would come as a big blow to Man Utd following Mata’s impressive impacts this season while he was still fit. The Spaniard is United’s second top scorer this term with 10 goals.
Also, it appears the duo of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones won’t be coming back soon as the boss is said to be expecting them to return in ‘mid-May’.
Therefore, Jose will need to hope that the duo of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo remain fit for the hectic fixtures ahead of the club.
The final round of games in this season’s premier league would be played in May 21, while the Europa League final might be something around May 24.
