Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hinted the club’s fans that he still has a lot to offer following his late leveler for his Gabon side which ensured Burundi did not walk away with all three points.
A goal earlier scored by Gäel Bigirimana would have ensured a defeat for Aubameyang’s Gabon in their African Cup of Nations Group C qualifier.
Bigirimana had got his second call for Burundi, his birth after a three-year absence was named in the starting line-up for the match in the Stade De L’Amitié and was able to find the back of the net in the 38 minutes.
The goal by the Arsenal striker gave relieve to the London fans who are already concerned about the inability of the former Borussia Dortmund player.
Having scored 10 goals last season, he has shown a lot of promise to deliver goals at the Emirates but the fact that he has got just a goal to his name so far in the 2018/2019 season makes it a concern.
Two goals in two games for Aubameyang is enough conviction for Arsenal fans he is gradually coming back to his goal scoring form.
Arsenal will be back from the international break to face Newcastle away from home.
