Arsenal set to replace key duo Ozil and Sanchez with former £90million transfer target

North London giant Arsenal risk losing Germany international midfielder Mesut Ozil and Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez next summer, and they allegedly have two players in mind to replace him.

With the possibility of seeing the duo leave for free given they are on expiring deals, it’s far from a good situation for Arsene Wenger’s side.

If the superstar pair does eventually depart, like-for-like replacements will be required and The Daily Mail reports that PSG star Goncalo Guedes, currently out on loan at Spanish La Liga side Valencia, and ex £90million transfer target Thomas Lemar are both on the wish list to come in for the Gunners.

With the winter transfer window drawing closer, manager Arsene Wenger will have a last chance to sell Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez and prevent losing the duo for free. However, given that it doesn’t seem like they would sign a new contract, it remains to be known if or not new contracts are signed.

Meanwhile, Guedes is doing so well in the Spanish La Liga, with the 21-year-old starlet netting three goals and making five assists in 14 matches. With Paris Saint Germain thought to have to cash in on players next summer, according to the Mail, the Portuguese could be sacrificed considering the level of competition at the club.
