Chelsea star Eden Hazard has placed a €350million price-tag on himself with the playmaker the subject of continued rumour linking him to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
According to renowned Italian sports publication CalcioMercato, the remarks was made by the Belgian to a French magazine.
Speaking on whether his club would ever sell him, the Belgian said that it would cost suitors a high transfer fee for him to be permitted to leave Stamford Bridge. The attacking midfielder joked that considering the current transfer fees flying around the football world for star players that he could be valued at a huge fee.
The report cited Hazard as saying, ““As a joke the other time I [Hazard] said that I [Hazard] was valued €300 million. Have I [Hazard] gone up by another €50million in 2 months? €350million, that’s still much (bursts into laughter). ”
While the remarks may have come jokingly from the Belgium international attacking midfielder himself it certainly adds more fuel to the burning fire linking him with a move away from the West London club.
Yesterday the Daily Mail claimed that La Liga giants Real Madrid had made contact with the player’s agents with the report also suggested that the playmaker was stalling contract extension negotiations with Chelsea.
