Kepa Arrizabalaga has been strongly linked with a transfer to Arsenal recently.
The Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper has been impressive lately and has drawn attention from a number of suitors across Europe, including Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The 23-years-old has sealed himself as Athletico Bilbao’s first choice goalkeeper this term and has played 11 matches in the Spanish La Liga so far.
The North London giant have been linked with some good goalkeepers in recent times, with first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech now into his thirties. Kepa Arrizabalaga, though, looks like he will remain at the Spanish La Liga side for the entire duration of his playing career, according to teammate Iago Herrerin.
As cited by top Spanish publication Marca, the 29-year-old heaped praises on his young teammate and claimed the youngster will not leave the La Liga side for the Emirates Stadium, or anyone else.
“Kepa [Arrizabalaga] is an Athletic [Bilbao] fan until death and proves that every time. He [Kepa Arrizabalaga] is young and he [Kepa Arrizabalaga] shows a lot of skill, he has a mild [cool] temper and that means he [Kepa] is not as heated as me [Iago Herrerin].
La Liga side Athletic Bilbao want to reward the young goalkeeper Kepa with a new contract, but the Spanish international safe hand is yet to decide on his long-term playing future.
