English Premier League outfit Arsenal are reportedly interested in the signature of Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli ahead of the summer transfer window.

Goal reports that the 17-year-old has been on the radar of the North London outfit and they are now ready to move in with a bid of about £4 million for his signature.

It is claimed that the Gunners are not alone in the race of the star player as other South American sides as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Palmeiras and Santos are also interested in his signature ahead of the summer transfer window as well.

Why United will return for this player in summer window

Gabriel Martinelli, who plays for Ituano has impressed in the Paulista Championship in 2018 with three goals in nine matches while he has scored four times in 17 games in the Copa Paulista.

It is understood that the young South American star has had a trial with English Premier Leg sue side Man United and Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona where he impressed but did not put pen to paper with either of them.

However, it is understood that efforts are being made for the young lad to secure an Italian passport so that he can be able to secure a work permit that will enable him to join the Gunners.
