Arsenal are allegedly moving closer to the transfer of Bordeaux star Malcom that could set Chile international Alexis Sanchez free to leave the North London club for Manchester United.
The Chilean is heading towards the conclusion of his Arsenal and that means the forward could depart for less this month as Arsenal do their best to prevent losing him for nothing next summer.
As per the Manchester Evening News, the gunners seem to be edging ever closer on Malcom as a good replacement for departing Alexis Sanchez up front, in what seems a major boost for the Jose Mourinho’s team.
Their report suggests league leaders Manchester City’s doubts over a move have given Manchester United hope of landing Sanchez, with the Gunners demanding £35million for their superstar.
With the Daily Mail claiming the winger would cost Arsene Wenger about £45million,that seems good business by Arsenal in a reinforcement in attack that won’t cost too much.
The possibility of finding a top-class player to replace Sanchez, potentially leaving for nothing or for a lower transfer fee, would have been far from proper for Arsenal’s finances.
Still, supporters will also be frustrated anyway as it seems more likely that the Chilean is heading to one of their major Premier League rivals.
