According to reports, Alexis Sanchez is edging closer to sealing his transfer to Manchester United as it’s suggested that the forward has agreed to personal terms on a sensational deal.
The Chilean international forward has few months left on his current Arsenal contract, which has forced the Emirates giants to sensibly consider offloading him this winter transfer window rather than let him leave for free when the season ends.
In turn, rumour has circulated over the players future, with The Sun now claiming that he’s prepared to make history as Britain’s highest-paid footballer, with a stunning £505,000-weekly contract with Jose Mourinho’s team being agreed.
It’s a huge contract offer if the information is accurate, with the story noting that it will last for four-and-a-half seasons, while the Arsenal contract rebel will cost £35million, depending on if or not Armenian attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is added in the switch and goes the other way.
That is a huge amount, and considering that he’s 29-years-old and has suffered dip in form this term, we’ll have to wait to see whether or not it’s a good decision for the Red Devils as that’s a big investment for a footballer who could have left for nothing in just the next six months.
