Despite being devastated that his failed transfer to Premier League rivals Manchester City, Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez now wants to join La Liga giant Real Madrid, as per reports.
After spending all summer transfer window trying to force a move to rival club Manchester City so he can play under Pep Guardiola once again, Alexis Sanchez now wants a winter transfer to Real Madrid so he can play under French Legend Zinedine Zidane.
As reported by Don Balon, the unsettled Arsenal star wants the transfer so badly that he is willing to take a pay cut – the only club he would apparently do that for.
This is against stories all summer window which claimed the attacker was demanding about £400k weekly from suitors.
Between Premier League rivals Manchester City and La Liga giant Real Madrid, the Gunners would certainly prefer him joining Real Madrid.
However, given how close the Chile international attacker was to joining Manchester City and the effort the Etihad club have made to secure his services, it seems unlikely that he will return to Spain.
Sanchez has played four matches for Wenger’s side this season and netted his first goal of the season against German side Cologne on Thursday.
