According to Goal, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said that misfiring striker Michy Batshuayi will be sent out on loan this window, but only if the club signs a forward.
Chelsea have been linked strongly with a number of strikers as the Italian looks to strengthen his attack, including latest target, Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
The Bosnian has been in good form for AS Roma this campaign, and it is thought that the English Premier League Champions are close to signing him and fellow teammate Emerson Palmieri.
Talking to the press ahead of Chelsea’s EFL Cup semi-final second leg clash, the tactician confirmed that the Belgium international is likely to leave the club before the close of the transfer window, so as to get regular playing time.
The 24-year Old striker, has found regular playing opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge this term and has even played for the side’s U-23 team in the Checkatrade Trophy so as to get playing time.
However, the Blues have started the striker for two consecutive matches with summer signing Alvaro Morata initially given time out to rest and then getting suspended due to a red card.
Batshuayi was praised by Antonio Conte after his recent outing in the 4-0 victory at the weekend over Brighton & Hove Albion but disclosed it doesn’t mean the striker will start again in mid-week at the Emirates against Arsenal.
