Former Arsenal chief secures new job

Former Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is reported to be on the verge of joining German Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart as their new sporting director ahead in coming weeks.

The move for Sven Mislintat and the Bundesliga side has been described as a major coup as they tend to transform the club ahead of the coming season.

This is a second return for Sven Mislintat to the German Bundesliga after working with Borussia Dortmund in the past and he has been tipped to further enforce his transfer policy at the club.

Sven Mislintat only had a 14-month spell at Arsenal before he left after speculations that he fell out with some of the club’s chief as a result of the clashing polity on transfer dealings.

The Bundesliga outfit are currently in a relegation zone and will hope the coming of Sven Mislintat will save the team in the coming season if they manage to stay back in the topflight.

However, the North London outfit are yet to secure a replacement for Sven Mislintat. Efforts to land the former AS Roma chief Monchi failed as he snubbed a move to the Emirates Stadium to land a deal with Spanish LA Liga outfit Sevilla.
