Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez was the subject of intense transfer rumours over the recently shut window.
But, despite being strongly linked with a move to big spending Ligue 1 club Paris Saint Germain by popular news outlet The Independent, Manchester City courtesy of Goal.com and even FC Barcelona via Don Balon, the Chilean remains a Gunner, at least until the month of January.
Unless he pens a new deal at the North London club, the transfer speculations will surely return in January, but for now, the former Barcelona man is focused on featuring for Arsenal, as confirmed by his latest post on Instagram.
“I’m ready for tomorrow (match),” Sanchez wrote alongside a picture of himself smiling in training wearing an Arsenal kit.
Wenger’s men will host Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, and Sanchez is expected to play his first match at the Emirates Stadium this campaign, having missed last month’s 4-3 victory over former League Champions Leicester City.
AFC Bournemouth have never beaten the Gunners, with Eddie Howe’s team losing four of their five all-time fixtures against Arsenal.
But their Cherries stunned Wenger’s men last term by racing into a 3 goals to nothing lead at home, before late goals from Alexis Sanchez, Lucas Perez and Frenchman Olivier Giroud earned them a hard fought 3-3 draw.
