Ahead Of Man United Clash: Everton Already Scared Of This ‘Dangerous’ Player

Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United summer signing Romelu Lukaku is currently on fire for his new side, and his former Everton manager Ronald Koeman is scared the Belgian could enjoy a field day when the two clubs clash this weekend for their next premier league game.

The former Everton man was a hot prospect during the past summer transfer window after emerging as a target for a handful of top English clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

And while everyone thought he would be going back to his former club at Stamford Bridge, the Belgium international chose to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford instead – all thanks to persuasion from his friend Paul Pogba.

He has hit the ground running since his £75million move to Manchester United and has scored six times in all competitions. He also scored his first Champions League goal against Basel on Tuesday at Old Trafford, with his side emerging 3-0 victors.

Man United are currently topping the premier league table, and Lukaku is currently part of those leading in the goalscoring chart.

Everton, on the other hand, have endured a disappointing start to the new season and have suffered back-to-back defeats to both Tottenham Hotspur and Atalanta.

Manager Ronald Koeman spent heavily during the summer transfer window with the hope of building a team that can compete for the top four positions. The manager is now under pressure as his side are currently sitting at the sixteenth spot of the list.

And speaking ahead of the Man United clash, the Toffees boss hailed Romelu as one of the best strikers around and a great finisher too.

“In the box, he [Lukaku] is really dangerous, fast and strong,” Koeman said.
