Job Done: Striker To Return To Juventus After Chelsea Loan

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain will return to his parent club in the summer after his loan spell at Stamford Bridge according to widespread reports emanating from the British media.

Ex-Argentine international Higuain is on loan at Chelsea from Italian champions Juventus until this summer having joined the Blues during the winter transfer window.

His AC Milan loan spell was cut short for him to join Chelsea in January.

Chelsea have the option to sign the player for £36m permanently after his loan spell but the West Londoners won’t take up that option.

According to the publication from the Daily Mail, Gonzalo Higuain will leave Chelsea after the Europa League final.

Chelsea will face London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final billed for Baku in Azerbaijan at the end of this month.

The Blues have already qualified for the Champions League next season thus ending their one-year absence from the competition but they have the opportunity to end the season with a trophy by beating Arsenal in the Europa League final.

Chelsea have a transfer ban hanging over their head and it could play a big part in their plans to let Higuain leave this summer.

They have been slammed with a two-window transfer ban by FIFA pending the hearing from CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sports).
