Frenchman Steven N’Zonzi has been dropped from the Sevilla team for their match on Sunday, the third match in a row that the attacker has missed out for the La Liga side.

He has substituted at halftime a week ago as his Spanish La Liga side were 3-0 down against Premier League giant Liverpool, a match the La Liga side then came back to draw level 3-3 with the attacking midfielder having angrily left the stadium.

Since then, the former Premier League star hasn’t been selected in the sides matchday squad. The attacking midfielder has also been ordered to train alone by his club coach Toto Berizzo. A January departure now seems suddenly very likely.

The Premier League champions were linked with N’Zonzi, 28, in the last summer transfer window, and although the signing of England international midfielder Danny Drinkwater looked to end Chelsea’s interest in the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder, nothing can be completely ruled out. The winger is one of the few top stars who will be available for transfer in the nest transfer window in January, and there will be a number of English Premier League sides interested.

The Blues are also looking to sign Brazilian Lucas Moura from French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain, as per Le Parisien.
