Former Chelsea man Ray Wilkins feels the Stamford Bridge club should push David Luiz to Man United as soon as a chance present itself.

Luiz came back to West London from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2016 in a deal worth £32m after leaving Stamford Bridge in 2014 for £50m.

The Brazilian played a big role helping manager Antonio Conte win the premier league title in his first season at Chelsea and in England.

But it appears David has not yet convinced Chelsea’s former assistant manager Ray Wilkins, who believes the samba defender should be allowed to move to Manchester United

During the player’s first period at Stamford Bridge, he was often criticised for his almost-regular mistakes, although it can’t be disputed he is quite talented.

This term, Luiz hasn’t been much of a regular in Antonio Conte’s first team, amid reports that he isn’t in the good books of the Italian boss.

The player has often started games from the bench and is obviously not the most happiest player in the world right now.

However, Ray added that the only reason he would love David to remain at Chelsea is if he will go on playing as a holding midfielder.

Luiz has always been impressive whenever he was used in the midfield, and Wilkins feels the Brazilian should be permanently converted to a holding midfielder if he should remain at Chelsea.
