After earning all three points from their recent premier league game during the past weekend, Chelsea are now ready for Champions League duties this week.
The premier league champions have already secured their place in the knockout stages of the tournament, and will be playing Atletico Madrid for their final group stage game.
Atletico Madrid are beginning to stand back on their feet, but Chelsea are also currently strong and will still aim for all three points against the La Liga club.
But as far as the team news is concerned at Stamford Bridge, Brazilian defender David Luiz is still with an injury, and we can expect the trio of Cahill, Azpilicueta and Christensen to start in the back line.
Bakayoko is expected to be used as a defensive midfielder, while the duo of N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas should also be in the center of the park.
Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso should take care of the wing-back posts, while Eden Hazard should be behind Alvaro Morata in front of attack.
With Courtois in-between the sticks guiding the woodwork for the Stamford Bridge club, here is Chelsea’s likely starting XI Vs Atletico Madrid.
GK – Courtois
DC – Cahill
DC – Christensen
DC – Azpilicueta
DM – Bakayoko
ML – Alonso
MC – Cesc
MC – Kante
MR – Moses
AC – Hazard
FC – Morata
