Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has urged his countryman Romelu Lukaku to grant his signature to Chelsea this summer. The Belgian goalie says he will be ‘happy’ seeing his international team-mate join his Stamford Bridge side.

Spanish striker Diego Costa is expected to complete a big money move to play for Tianjin Quanjin in the Chinese Super League, and Chelsea’s Italian boss is reportedly keen on bringing back Lukaku to Chelsea to replace Costa.

The 23-year-old swapped Chelsea for Everton in 2014 and has evolved into one of the best strikers in the premier league.

And Chelsea goalie Thibaut Courtois has talked about his intention to remain at Stamford Bridge on Friday. The Belgian shot-stopper also said he would like to see his compatriot Lukaku join him in Chelsea next term.

Thibaut, speaking to Sky Sports, admits that Lukaku is a great player and if the Chelsea management decides to sign him, he would be happy to see Romelu in the dressing room come July.

Chelsea won the Premier League title in Antonio Conte’s first season at the West London club and in England and will make a return back to the Champions League next season. The Italian boss is expected to have a high-quality squad that can successfully defend the Premier League title, and compete with other top European clubs in the Champions League next season.
