What Solskjaer says about ‘new Darren Fletcher’

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has showered praise on Scott McTominay after his impressive performance against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Red Devils boss has likened Scott McTominay as the new Darren Fletcher because of the way he operates in the middle with the absence of Nemanja Matic who suffered a nasty injury in training before the Sunday game.

The 22-year-old was instrumental in the game and contributed to why the gun power of the Liverpool attack could not successfully shoot down a goal in the game.

Scott McTominay was there to contend against Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, yet he was unmoved and gave them the good fight.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has therefore hailed the star player for being fantastic in the game and serving as a good cover for the injured players.

It would be recalled that the likes of Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard were all out with injuries which gave United an incomplete team.

However, United were able to stop the Reds from securing all here points and gaining access to the league top with a three points lead.

Meanwhile, all of the positives in the United team have been credited to the interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
