Since last year, rumours keeps flying in the media that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in Cohen Brammall. Fortunately, as the ongoing transfer session persists, Wenger himself has revealed that Arsenal have completed the signing of the non-League Hednesford Town left-back.
“He has signed for us. He is an exceptional physical talent.” Wenger reportedly told a French TV reporter.
Lots of Arsenal fans – and of course many others, don’t know who Brammall is. He is a 20-year-old superb left back who currently plays non-league football. He has however been on trial at the Emirates stadium and has definitely done enough to earn himself a contract with the North Londoners.
However Wenger said ‘something else’ about the young talent: “I don’t think he’s ready, today, to play in the Premier League.”
Well, perhaps the boss is right. Presently, Arsenal got the duo of Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal as left-back options, and both aren’t showing signs of an exit soon. But it is obvious Brammal got a role to play, which is the reason Wenger brought him in the first place. Perhaps, he will got featured in the League Cup next season- but he is nevertheless expected to be seen in the under 23 side.
We hope to see him prove his worth and rise soon.
