There is expected to be a battle between English Premier League side Manchester United and Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid over the pursuit of FC Porto central defender Eder Militao.
Recent reports claim that the two European sides are keen to land the £20-year-old South American youngster as they hope to add more strength to their defence having seen his quality this season.
The report claims that Eder Militao is ready to move should the right offer arrive on the table of the South American club in this winter transfer window.
Eder Militao who made his full international debut for Brazil last year has been impressive for Porto and is one of their most valuable assets in the club but has an asking price of £20 million owing to his age.
Manchester United are therefore desperate to land a quality defender as they hope to record more wins in the second half of the season to be able to secure qualification to the Champions League in coming football year by a top four finish.
The Red Devils had a very slow start of the season under former manager Jose Mourinho but they seem to have bounced back with a number of wins since the beginning of a new era under former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
