Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has narrated how Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo influenced his career at an early stage while he was at Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

In an interview with the official website of Chelsea, Marcos Alonso talked about how it was a dream to train with the likes of Ronaldo and Kaka at Real Madrid.

He also revealed that West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini was responsible for his debut at Real Madrid.

Marcos Alonso showered high praise on both Ronaldo and Kaka on how they were able to influence his career while he was starting out as a young footballer in Madrid.

The Spanish international left-back also talked about how he joined Real Madrid before his teen years.

According to him, his father had played for both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid while his mother’s family members were full of Atletico Madrid supporters and how it was difficult for them to see him play for Real Madrid.

Marcos Alonso spent a decade at Real Madrid before he decided to forge ahead with his career.

He has been the first choice left-back at Chelsea since signing for the club in 2016 until this season.

Brazilian player Emerson Palmieri has emerged from his shadows to take the number one left-back spot at Chelsea.
