According to reports, North London club Totttenham Hotspur could launch a double raid on Serie A side Genoa for two South American stars.

The London club have been relatively quiet so far in this summer transfer, something which has caused worry amongst some Tottenham fans, especially with defender Kyle Walker being sold to Premier League rival Manchester City.

But Tottenham could soon be ready to make a splash in this summer transfer market as, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.com, Spurs have their eyes on two stars from Serie A club Genoa.

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of left-sided Uruguay international Diego Laxalt, while he also likes Argentina international striker Giovanni Simeone.

Serie A clubs Torino and Fiorentina are interested in the Argentine hitman but have not yet worked out a deal with Genoa, who are claimed to be looking for €25m to sell.

It is claimed that Spurs would have no hardship in affording Argentine striker Giovanni Simeone, while the player himself would also be willing to work under his countryman Pochettino at North London, with the added bonus of UEFA Champions League football also being on the agenda.

Uruguayan Diego Laxalt meanwhile has been heavily linked with two other English Premier League clubs this summer transfer window in the shape of Premier League Champions Chelsea and Merseyside giants Liverpool.
