Solskjaer reveals truth behind player’ snub

Since taking over ads Man United interim boss says Antonio Valencia has not had enough playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskaer but that has been explained by the manager in his Friday’s press conference.

So far this season, Antonio Valencia has only seen eight appearances despite being handed the captain band at the start of the season. His last appearance was on January 2 when he featured against Newcastle United

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that he would have loved to play Antonio Valencia more often but the Ecuadorian has been battling with series of injuries which leaves him unfit most of the time.

The Red Devils interim boss, therefore, states that he wishes Antonio Valencia recovers in good time to be able to return to action and help the team win games.

The former United forward noted that nothing stops Antonio Valencia from travelling with the team this weekend if he were fit but unfortunately, he is not okay.

It was expected that the Red Devils part ways with the star player but that has not happened as they are hoping to keep all of their squad together until the end of the season.

The Red Devils are hoping they can push their way through to end in the fourth position for a Champions League qualification.
