Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool are set to offer a new deal to Daniel Sturridge before the end of the month. The England international is not in Klopp’s first XI but the Sun are claiming that the German manager is happy with the player’s output so far this season.

In the same report, the 29-year-old might see his weekly wages reduced should he agree to sign the new proposed contract extension due to his inactive status at Anfield.

It is said that Chinese Super League clubs are in contact with the Reds for the former Chelsea striker. The Asian country is one of the fastest growing footballing nations and they are not relenting in their efforts to bring top-class players into the League.

The Daily Mail are also reporting that Serie A giants AC Milan are very much in the race to capture the Three Lions striker.

It is yet to be seen if Klopp would love to release Sturridge on a permanent basis or he will only loan him out for the rest of the season.

In other Liverpool news, the Reds are set for a very crunch tie against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium later tonight.

The outcome of this fixture will go a long way to determine who win the Premier League. A win for Liverpool would see them Reds extend their lead at the summit of the table to nine points, while a defeat will see them remain just seven points above City in the standings.
