A few hours ago, Brazil legend Pele, speaking about Liverpool’s Phillipe Coutinho, stated that the talented player does not need to move to the La Liga before he can win the Best Footballer of the Year Award.

And right now, another Brazilian legend – in the person of Ronaldinho – is speaking about Countiho too, touting the youngster to give his all to his current club following his failed move to Barcelona during the summer.

Phil made it very much clear that he wanted to move to Camp Nou but his current side rejected every bid that came in for him and won’t allow him made his dream move.

The attacking midfielder didn’t play for Liverpool in any of their first five games of the new campaign, citing a back pain. He was, however, able to play for his national side in their recent international games.

Countiho is now expected to come back into Jurgen Klopp’s squad and play for the reds in their big game against Manchester City this weekend.

And Ronaldinho thinks his countryman will give his all to his side, even though he is disappointed not to have got the move to Camp Nou.

The former World Best player, speaking to the Daily Mirror, said:

“The Liverpool fans have nothing to worry about. I don’t believe any stories about Countiho refusing to play for Liverpool. I know him [and] that is not his way.”
