Revealed: Spurs In Pole Position For £35m Liverpool Target

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be the favourites amongst all the interested clubs in PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn according to Sky Sports.

It was revealed that Spurs are in pole position to sign the young Dutch international player this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur will have to fend off the threat of rival Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool who have previously been linked with the aforementioned Bergwijn.

Sky Sports also revealed that PSV are holding out for around £35m for the 21-year-old winger.

Steven Bergwijn was one of the most outstanding players on the Dutch Eredivisie scene this season.

The Dutchman scored 14 goals and also provided 12 assists in 33 games in the league as PSV Eindhoven were unable to win the title they won last season.

Steven Bergwijn and PSV Eindhoven lost the Dutch top flight league title to Ajax Amsterdam who won the domestic double for the first time in over a decade.

Ajax beat PSV Eindhoven to the league title by three points and a better goal difference in addition to beating Willem II 4-0 to win the Dutch Cup and complete the domestic double.

Bergwijn also scored one goal in seven Champions League appearances for PSV Eindhoven during the just concluded season.
