Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez has turned down a move to the Premier League according to reports coming out of the Spanish media.
James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at German champions Bayern Munich from parent club Real Madrid and his spell at the Allianz Arena ends this summer having joined at the start of the last campaign.
The 27-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Real Madrid when he signed for Bayern Munich on loan in 2017 and the position is expected to remain the same when he returns to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The Colombian international has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool but he’s not ready to show his quality in the top flight of English football.

James Rodriguez became a Real Madrid player in the summer of 2014 shortly after the World Cup tournament in Brazil.
Real Madrid splashed a whopping sum of £63m on the Colombian after he had finished the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament as the topscorer with six goals.
Bayern Retain Interest In 18-Year-Old Liverpool Target
German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich still retain an interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi according to Bundesliga football expert Christian Falk.
He made this known in a chat with Get German Football News.

He further revealed that that the Bavarian giants will leave the transfer of Callum Hudson-Odoi until next summer if they get Sane this summer.
Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been strongly linked with the Bavarian giants this summer though the Premier League champions want to retain his services and also offer him a new contract.
Christian Falk revealed that Callum Hudson-Odoi and Bayern Munich have an understanding that he will move to the Allianz Arena on a free transfer next summer if they sign Sane this summer.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked with a move to Liverpool as well as Borussia Dortmund.
The 18-year-old is presently recovering from a serious Achilles injury sustained towards the end of the season.
He suffered the unfortunate injury during a home league game against Watford.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is already back in light training as he recovers from the Achilles injury.
The young winger has one year left on his contract and he’s expected to be back in action in three months.
Agent Dismisses Loan Rumours For €100m-rated Chelsea Target
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale won’t be leaving the Spanish giants for Bayern Munich this summer according to his agent Jonathan Barnett.
In a chat with popular media channel ESPN, Jonathan Barnett dispelled the transfer rumours linking his client with a loan move to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Earlier reports had claimed that Bayern Munich want to sign Gareth Bale on loan with the option to sign him permanently at the end of the loan spell.
Bayern Munich were said to be willing to pay his £350,000 weekly wages.
The Bavarian giants are in the transfer market for a new winger after the exit of both Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben.
The two veteran wingers have left the Allianz Arena after the expiration of their respective Bayern Munich contracts.
Welsh international Bale is one of the players on the transfer list at Real Madrid with the club keen to raise more funds for new players having already spent over €300m, though the former Tottenham Hotspur star is keen to see out the final three years of his contract at Real Madrid according to his agent.
Gareth Bale has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and West London giants Chelsea.
The 29-year-old left Tottenham Hotspur for Real Madrid in 2013 for a then world-record fee of €100m.
Bayern Plotting Loan Move For £85.3m Chelsea Target
German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly plotting a loan move for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale this summer.
This is according to the publication from the stables of The Sun which claimed that the Bavarian giants want to rescue the Welsh international star from his nightmarish spell at Real Madrid.
Gareth Bale ended the just concluded campaign on the fringes of the first team at Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old was dropped from the Real Madrid starting XI for the last three games of the season by manager Zinedine Zidane who’s keen to get the ex-Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur player off the playing squad.
Gareth Bale signed for Real Madrid in 2013 for a then world-record fee of £85.3m but he has been transfer-listed at Real Madrid though he is keen to see out the remaining three years on his existing contract.
According to the aforementioned report from The Sun, Bayern Munich want to sign Bale on loan for the new season with an option to sign him permanently afterwards.
The Bavarian giants are ready to pay his £350,000 weekly wages in their search for replacements for the duo of Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery who have left Bayern Munich upon the expiration of their respective contracts this summer.
Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in the Welsh player but his hefty weekly salary is a stumbling block in their quest to sign him.

English top flight sides like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are keen on a move for him.

The player is one of the hottest properties on the transfer window this summer after a stellar season for Lille.
Senior club officials have already confirmed that they will sell him during this summer’s transfer window.
Nicolas Pepe has been an important player for Lille since joining them two years ago and his form has led the French club back to the Champions League for next season.
He was the key player for Lille as they finished the season in second place on the French Ligue 1 table just behind champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
€80m-rated Pepe scored 23 goals in all competitions for Lille and it is not surprising that several clubs are on his trail this summer.
