Struggling Premier League side Crystal Palace have joined Liverpool in the race to sign one of the most in-form players in the German Bundesliga.

The publication from Joe.co.uk revealed that the Eagles are eyeing a transfer for Serbian striker Luka Jovic in the bid to ease their goalscoring problems this season.

Luka Jovic is on the payroll of German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt at the moment.

The 20-year-old is on loan from Portuguese Super League giants Benfica.

The young Serbian attacker has scored 20 goals in 37 appearances in the top flight of German football.

Luka Jovic has been previously linked with a transfer to Premier League table toppers Liverpool as a potential backup for the famed trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The Serbian will command a sizeable transfer fee that could prove to be a problem for Crystal Palace.

The South Londoners have not had a consistent goalscorer in their squad this season and manager Roy Hodgson has been forced to field two wingers (Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend) upfront in the majority of their games in the Premier League this season.
First choice striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out of action for the better part of the last four months with a knee injury.
