Wolves boss Nuno Santo believes that his players will be ready for the fight when they face Liverpool later this weekend in what could be a title decider in the Premier League.
In his pre-match thoughts ahead of the Liverpool game, the Portuguese tactician vowed that his players will treat the match seriously despite the fact that they have nothing to play for after securing seventh spot on the Premier League table.
Seventh place will be enough to secure a spot in the Europa League as long as Watford don’t win the FA Cup final.
Watford will face Premier League champions Manchester City in the FA Cup final next weekend and only a win for the Hornets will deny seventh-placed Wolves a place in the Europa League next season.
For now, the challenge for Nuno Santo and his Wolves players is to try and stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League title.
Liverpool are in a keenly contested title battle with Manchester City and the Reds might give themselves a good chance to end their league drought with a win over Wolves.
Manchester City have a one-point lead over Liverpool but the Reds can pounce on any slip-up from the Citizens on the final day of the season to end their 29-year wait for a title.
