The Blues had a tough game over the weekend when they took on London rival Tottenham Hotspur. Although they won the game by 2-1 at full-time, they were however held at 1-1 before the break (continue reading).
Chelsea goal scorer Pedro who netted the equalizer before the break, has revealed what Italian tactician Antonio Conte told them before the commencement of the second half.
‘He told us to press high and concentrate between the lines,’ Pedro said to Chelsea’s official site.
‘He told us to mark more aggressively and that was the most important thing. It was a good game for us and the supporters.’
The Spaniard has been having a good game since he replaced Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian in the starting eleven. His outstanding performances have left Conte with no choice than to play him ahead of Willian.
Although the Blues couldn’t keep a clean sheet against the Spur, they are however a team to watch out for as the season unfolds.
The Blues are currently at the top of the EPL table with 31 points after 13 games. They will take a shot trip to Etihad stadium this weekend to take on Pepe Guardiola men in a key battle.
Pedro will be hoping to get a start as Chelsea takes on his former boss.
