Former Man United Star Player: This Summer Man United Signing Has Been Alright, He Will Get A Lot Better
Paul Scholes delivers his verdict on Pogba’s start to life back at Manchester United
The Englishman is already tipping Paul Pogba to improve his performances for Manchester United in the coming weeks and months following what could best be described as a mixed start to his spell back at the club.
The Frenchman returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in a world-record transfer deal last summer after initially being sold to the Serie A side back in 2012.
The midfielder has produced some improved performances for the Old Trafford club in recent weeks after initially making a slow start to life back at the club.
And as expected, he has been a regular fixture in the Red Devils’ first team this term.
And like many others, Scholes has been impressed by what he has seen from 23-year old Pogba so far this season but is also expecting to see some improvement from the midfielder in the games to come.
Scholes speaking in an interview with the Republik on Mancunia said he think Paul Pogba get a lot better.
“I think he’s been alright, a seven or eight out of 10 season, but I still think there is more to come from him.
“It is a new league, there’s been big expectation on him because of the price tag and sometimes he’s tried to live up to that a bit more than he should do, really.
“But no, if we can keep him here for the next five or six years then I think we will win a lot of trophies with him.”
Mourinho side are currently preparing for their FA Cup sixth-round game against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday afternoon.
They are still sixth placed on the league table as they aim to end the season as one of the top four so as to grab a Champions League ticket in the next season.
