Cardiff City will be travelling to Anfield to play against Liverpool in the EPL.

The visiting club are few points from relegation having put up a poor performance this season so far.

Ahead of the match against Liverpool, Cardiff City coach, Neil Warnock has made some pre-match statements.

During the statement, the 69 years old coach hinted that he could have signed Liverpool ace defender, Virgil van Dijk for a paltry sum of £6 million from Celtic when he (Warnock) was at Crystal Palace.

He disclosed that Crystal Palace didn’t make the move because their chief scout stated that the Holland captain ‘is too slow.’

But this season has seen Virgil Van Dijk at his very best for Liverpool, he has conceded just three goals.

Liverpool signed the Holland international from Southampton in the January transfer window at the sum of £75 million and so far they have not regretted their action.

Virgil Van Dijk will be playing against Neil Warnock led squad.

Warnock in a statement disclosed that he is “delighted Virgil Van Dijk is playing like he should.”

The 69-year-old coach also went ahead to applaud Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp for correcting the Reds defense weakness, he said he is a big admirer of the Germany international.
