Manchester United Star Sends United Warning To Chelsea
Rashford warns the league leaders that his side will do everything in their power to beat them in the FA Cup
Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford has warned Antonio Conte’s side that his side will do everything in their power to beat Chelsea and reach the FA Cup semi-finals come March.
Marcus too was on the score-sheet for the red devils as the Old Trafford club secured their spot in the quarter-finals following their 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea on the other hand booked their spot in the last eight when they beat Wolves 2-0 on Saturday evening comfortably.
Chelsea and Manchester United are set to face off at Stamford Bridge next month for a spot in the semi-finals at Wembley.
The West London club however thrashed Jose Mourinho’s side 4-0 when the two clubs last met for a premier league game at Stamford Bridge earlier this season
And Rashford is of the opinion that Manchester United will be out for revenge against the current league leaders this time around.
Speaking to MUTV, he said:
“They have one over on us so we will definitely be going there to win the game.
“At this stage of the competition, we are going to be coming up against top quality opposition no matter where you go. They are in good form, but so are we, and we will be looking to go there and win the game.”
The Old Trafford club now turn their attentions back to Europa League duties and their trip to Saint-Etienne on Wednesday night.
However, United manager Jose Mourinho concedes that the blues are set to go on and lift the Premier League trophy this season
He told his post-match news conference after the 2-1 win at Blackburn:
“Probably Chelsea can only think about that [the FA Cup] because I think they are champions and they have nothing else to play for so the FA Cup is something important for them.”
