According to reports coming from Spain, premier league heavyweight Man United have told Andreas Pereira he may be brought back from his loan spell with Valencia next January.
Pereira joined Valencia without the blessings of Jose Mourinho before the end of the transfer window due to his lack of regular playing time at Old Trafford.
And if he had stayed at Manchester United this season, injuries to Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Micheal Carrick means he would have had the chance to play regularly.
As things stand now, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Scott McTominay are the only senior midfielders available for Jose Mourinho.
The red devils have a recall option on the Spaniard and if they should activate it, they would have to reimburse the La Liga club some of the fee they paid to get him in the summer.
And according to Plaza Deportiva, the premier league club have told the player they can recall him in January to ease their injury crisis.
It was added that the red devils have been paying close attention to his performances and saw him score a superb goal against Real Betis last month.
Veteran midfielder Michael Carrick is however expected to be back anytime soon following his return to first-team training last week.
