North London outfit Arsenal have confirmed the transfer of young midfielder Gedion Zelalem from the cub to MLS outfit Sporting Kansas City.

It has been reported earlier that talks were ongoing between the two sides for a permanent deal for the star player and it has now worked out as Gedion Zelalem ends his six years stay at the Emirates Stadium

The 22-year-old showed the potential of a promising future but he was unable to break into the first team due to the many options available in the Arsenal team, a reason that contributed to why he was made to leave the club.

The MLS outfit have therefore made the announcement official as they hail Gedion Zelalem as a talented player, noting that they are happy to have him at the club with the hope of working with him and having him help the club achieve their aims.

Although, the transfer window for the winter has been shut since January ending the MLS are allowed to strike a deal in March because of their new season at this time. The MLS clubs are allowed to run transfer deals until May 7.

Meanwhile, Gedion Zelalem was tipped to step into the shoes of Cesc Fabregas because of the qualities he showed as far back as 2013 but that dream did not become a reality.
