According to media reports, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has closely watched Dennis Man with a view of signing Romanian teenage sensation to Old Trafford.
Man United boss keen on teenager
The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Man United tactician is keen on a potential deal to land him from Steau Bucharest this summer transfer window.
The same report states that Jose Mourinho was at the stands to watch the 19-year-old during Romania’s 2-0 victory over Finland.
However, club president Gigi Becali is sure that he has priced the Red Devils out of a potential transfer deal to land the teenager.
The Romanian side want a fee of about £26million for the promising starlet, which could be a major stumbling block.
The Portuguese tactician is no stranger to working with a Romanian after his brief spell in charge of Chelsea legend Adrian Mutu during his first spell at Stamford Bridge.
Reinforcement in top gear at Old Trafford
Jose Mourinho has already brought in two players this summer window to get their side’s spending started ahead of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 20-time Premier League champions secured the signature of Brazil international midfielder Fred in a £52million deal from Shakhtar Donetsk in the current transfer window.
The Red Devils added Porto defender Diogo Dalot to their team earlier in the week.
