Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired few years back, Manchester United are yet to win the premier league trophy again.

The duo of Moyes and Van Gaal were horrible during their respective periods at Old Trafford.

Manchester United eventually signed former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to take over the mantle of leadership at the club, and the Portuguese tactician has been doing his best.

Last season, three different trophies were won by the red devils – despite being Mourinho’s first season at the club. And currently this season, they are sitting on the second spot of the premier league table behind league leaders Manchester City.

Mourinho is one of the best tacticians in the world, and perhaps, the Portuguese can bring the premier league trophy back to Old Trafford in the nearest future.

And according to new reports, the management at Old Trafford are ready to offer him a new deal to extend his stay at the club and will be making the announcement very soon.

Mourinho’s current contract at Old Trafford is meant to expire in 2019, and he currently earn £312,500 each week.

There are additional claims that the new contract will extend Mourinho’s stay at the club to 2021.
