Everton star forward Romelu Lukaku is one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League right now. The Belgium international has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United with the two clubs expected to break the bank for his signature.
In a recent development, there are reports that the Belgian has made up his mind to rejoin his former club Chelsea in an £80million transfer this summer. So, he is expected to ignore Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Lukaku enjoyed another superb season in the English top flight with his 25 goals that helped Ronald Koeman’s side finishing seventh on the premier league table. He however missed out on the Golden boot to Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Speaking yesterday, the 24-year-old revealed he was in talks to leave Goodison Park and it is now understood he wants to make a return to Chelsea, just three years after leaving.
In 2014, Everton permanently signed the forward from Chelsea for £28million after his impressive performances on loan at Goodison Park in the 2013/14 season.
Romelu is said to remain a big Chelsea fan and according to the Independent, Chelsea will spend around £80M to bring him back.
However, there are speculations already that the Toffees wants Chelsea to include Michy Batshuayi in the deal, and the fee could be lessened.
