It has been confirmed that Man United are on the verge of completing a deal for Malmo youngster Lucas Gomez by a top official at the Swedish club.
United invited the talented youngster for trials a few weeks back, and he is said to have impressed those at Old Trafford during his period at Man United’s Carrington training base.
Although his side are keen on keeping him with them for more years, the 14-year-old is ready to move over to Manchester United.
And speaking recently about the attacker, club director Mikael Brandrup confirmed the young star was with Manchester United for some time, and also admitted the player could become a Man United player anytime soon.
“Unfortunately I do not think we’ll keep him [Lucas]. Mikael said.
Gomez was invited to Manchester back in October, and he told newsmen he was looking forward to travelling to Carrington.
Lucas dreams of evolving into one of the most important members at Manchester United, and will definitely be helped by the red devils to grow into one of the best players in the world.
English attacker Marcus Rashford was able to grow from the youth system at Old Trafford, and he is now a first-team player at the club.
Club manager Jose Mourinho has promised to continue giving the youngsters their chances at the senior level each season.
