Rafael Benitez

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez could leave the club in the summer with the Spaniard struggling to accept the possible lack of investment on the squad, and several clubs are already plotting on how to make him their next manager.

According to the publication from the Daily Mirror, two French Ligue 1 sides are lining up the Spanish tactician as their next manager.

It was revealed that both French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Marseille want former Liverpool boss Benitez as their new manager this summer.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is under serious pressure and Benitez could replace him in the summer.

Tuchel won just one trophy this season and that was the French Ligue 1.

The PSG hierarchy is said to be unhappy with the level of growth in the team this season.

PSG were in command of their French Cup final clash with Rennes until they were pegged back and beaten on penalties by their less fancied opportunities.

The French champions were leading 2-0 at one point before Rennes fought back to force extra time and penalties.

Marseille are also on the hunt for a new manager this summer with Rudi Garcia expected to leave when the season ends next month.

Rudi Garcia and Marseille have had an average season which would almost certainly end with Europa League football and not Champions League football next season
